About Allahabad  High Court

Allahabad High Court was established as a high court which has the jurisdiction over the Uttar Pradesh State but the high court is located at Allahabad and was started on 1869. It is the initial high court to be start up in India. The Primary seat of the high court can be found at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh and the Circuit bench is positioned at Lucknow.

Provision was created by the Indian High Court Act, during the year 1861 that has been passed by the British Parliament for the substitution of the Supreme High Courts of Calcutta, Bombay and Madras which had been primarily for the formation of High Court in the locations exactly where they rule. During this way on March 17th 1866 the establishment of High Court for the jurisdiction emerged into presence under Letters Patent in the North-Western places which happens to be at Agra by swapping the old court. The seat of the north-western provinces of Agra was migrated to Allahabad which was recognized to the High Court of Jurisdiction found at Allahabad in the year 1869. The 1st Chief Justice who was selected from North Western Provinces was Sir Walter Morgan and the 1st Registrar was Mr. Simpson.

The Chief court of Oudh was put together with the High Court of Allahabad that had been lead to the development of the new high court for the jurisdiction of both courts in the year 1948. Because of this combination the Chief Court which had been under Oudh was conserved. In the year 1950 the High Court of Jurisdiction at Allahabad proven to possess the jurisdiction completely in the state of Uttar Pradesh in addition to the date was on the Republic day on 26th January. 13 districts are plunging under the territory of State of Uttaranchal to get jurisdiction that could be ceased by the High Court of Allahabad. At present the High Court of Jurisdiction at Allahabad seems to be having the strength is 160.
