CBSE President Manoj Ahuja said that the institute has started work on rationalizing the syllabus to bridge the educational disadvantage and the reduced syllabus will be ready in a month. Ahuja said that we are keeping the core elements in the syllabus and removing the parts which are unnecessary.

Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced on Tuesday that his ministry is working on a plan to shorten the school syllabus and reduce the educational hours in the current education session so that the Kovid-19 epidemic caused by the academic Loss can be repaid.

The minister has sought suggestions from different parties in this regard. The Union Minister tweeted that in view of the present circumstances and after receiving a lot of requests from parents and teachers, we are considering an option to reduce the syllabus and academic hours for the coming academic year.

He appealed to all teachers, academics and education experts to share their views on the matter. The HRD minister said that people should use “hashtag syllabus 2020 for students” on the ministry or their Twitter and Facebook page so that we keep them in mind while making decisions. It is worth noting that since March 16, universities and schools have been closed in view of the Corona virus epidemic across the country.
