Age Limit ason 01-01-2020: 

  • Minimum 15 years & maximum 24 years
  • Age Relaxation : 3 years for OBC Category and 5 years for SC/ST Category Candidates

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10th Class or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board & ITI in relevant trades.

Stipend: As per  rules

Application Fee :  Candidates have to pay Rs.100/- through debit card/ credit card/internet Banking/SBI Challan etc.

Selection Process: On the basis of percentage of marks obtained in matriculation marks) + ITI marks in the trade.

About Northeast Frontier Railway:

Northeast Frontier Railway is one of the famous railway zone among the total 17 railway zones in the country and covers the operations in the areas like Northeast and parts of West Bengal and Bihar. The main places covered by Northeast Frontier Railway are Assam, Nagaland, West Bengal, Tripura, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh Meghalaya, Mizoram and Bihar. Started operations in the year 1958 Northeast Frontier Railway is headquartered in Maligaon, Guwahati in the state of Assam.

There are total of 5 divisions under Northeast Frontier Railway such as Alipurdaur Railway Division, Katihar Railway Division,Rangia Railway Division, Lumding Railway Division and Tinsukia Railway Division. The General Manager is the administrative in charge of the Northeast Frontier Railway and each divisions are controlled by Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs). Shri Ranjit Singh Virdi is the General Manager and Shri DAYANAND JHA is the additional General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway.

There are mainly four departments under Northeast Frontier Railway such as Personnel, General Admin, Mechanical and Commercial. The same can be sub categorized as engineering, electrical, mechanical, signal & telecom, commercial, operations, safety, accounts, security, personal and medical normally headed by a Higher Administrative Grade officer or a Senior Administrative Grade Officer. The Northeast Frontier railway is giving priority to the dedication and sincerity of its personnel and it has made remarkable advancement in the areas it covers and now serves more than 10 states within the country and moreover acting as a connecting line with neighboring countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
